Review – TEMTRIS – ‘Ritual Warfare’

The 6th album from Australia’s TEMTRIS sees them release a solid cohesive album of Aussie METAL. A fast and furious start to the album with ‘Race To The End’, and the pace doesn’t stop there. ‘One For All’ takes me back to the mid 80s, ‘Seven Sins Of Man’ is a solid chunk of riffiness (is that a word?) with a slower passage showing the power of Genevieve’s voice which is quite the thing to behold on this album. Don’t believe me? Check out the first part of title track, ‘Ritual Warfare’, which is a 7 minute ball breaking epic. It’s not all played at breakneck speed, ‘Tempus Aeternum’ slows it down, while still remaining heavy, ‘Erased’ picks up the pace again, before closing with the ‘fists in the air’ rocker, ‘Always United’. Overall, an album the band can certainly be very proud of. They work hard and it shows.

Fave tracks for me- ‘Seven Sins Of Man’ and ‘Ritual Warfare’.

For fans of Priest, Maiden, Megadeth, Flotsam and Jetsam.
