Finland’s BATTLE BEAST swung through Adelaide on the 2nd stop on their first Australian tour, with new singer Marina La Torraca performing only her 4th show with the band. I know you’re asking ‘How did she do?’. Well I gotta tell you, she did very well. She obviously had some form of cold, she said as such, but that didn’t stop her giving her all and the talent shone through. The whole band showed excellent ‘stage handling skills’. You know what I mean, some have a focal point and the rest of the band hang back, but not these guys, they knew how to fill and use a stage. The band seemed to really enjoy themselves, as did the crowd. BATTLE BEAST played all the songs you would expect, you would be sure to have a great time if you went along and caught one of the remaining shows on this tour. There was no merch desk, which we all found intriguing, I don’t know what’s going on there.
Anyway, catch the show, you know what they say, ‘buy the concert ticket’. You only live once.
