One of the first bands I ever got into was STATUS QUO, early in the 70s when I was quite young. I followed them through the years, not managing to see them live til the late 90s. By then, Alan Lancaster was not in the band any more, but I had seen him play many times with the PARTY BOYS and later with BOMBERS (photo here, that’s him in the middle on bass). Absolutely devastated to learn of his passing. He forged the way. May he rest in peace.
