I did not expect a new RAMMSTEIN album so soon (just under 3 years) after the last one, not when we had to wait nearly 10 years for that one, so this was a bit of a surprise. Let’s face it, RAMMSTEIN have a ‘way’, a ‘sound’, and this doesn’t disappoint. This is an album where you listen to it, but in your mind, you are seeing them onstage performing this. You know what they’re doing in the song, you know when Till is doing the Hammer, you know when the pyros are going off, you know when Flake is on his treadmill etc. It’s quite an unusual experience and I suppose, reassuring experience. I wouldn’t say any new barriers are broken, but it’s not repetitive, it’s RAMMSTEIN, just being RAMMSTEIN. By now, you know what they’re about.
Verdict – rips along nicely in the fashion you’d expect.
Fave tracks – all good so far, ‘Meine Tränen’ stands out.
For fans of – let’s face it, you know why you’re here.
Release date – OUT NOW.
