Album of the week – IDLE RUIN – ‘The Fell Tyrant’

IDLE RUIN are a 3 piece blackened thrash/death outfit from Brisbane and their latest release, ‘The Fell Tyrant’, is a real piece of work. It hits you hard, REAL HARD, from the outset and does not let go. There a 9 tracks of skull crushing mayhem, my favourites being ‘Ekul 6​:​31’ and ‘Diabolical Severance’.
This is black, so black in fact that Nigel Tufnell would say, ‘How much more black can it be? And the answer is none, none more black.’
