Album Of The Week – TIMELESS FAIRYTALE – ‘A Story To Tell’

This is an album that I was sent as a promo from the record company a little while back and I’ve been waiting for it’s release so I can sing it’s praises. This takes me back to the classic mid-to-late 80s. The songs are energetic and well paced, the vocals are great and understandable, the guitar work is on-point. It may be just me but the guitar work reminds me of my memories of James Byrd’s Atlantis Rising, that sort of style, with a nod to the neo-classical players of the day, without ripping anybody off. The album flows along nicely, some great songs on there. I’ve put some youtube clips below, no clip for my favourite song on the album, which is the title track. Enjoy.

TIMELESS FAIRYTALE is a new international melodic metal outfit, founded by Danish singer Henrik Brockmann (original frontman of Royal Hunt and Evil Masquerade) and Italian guitarist/songwriter Luca Sellitto, from the band Stamina and session guitarist for Ian Parry’s Rock Emporium, Magic Opera, In Search of and others.
The mighty lineup is completed by a killer rhythm section, consisting of Stamina’s bass player Carmine Vivo and Swedish drummer Viktor Enebjörn, from the bands Forever Still and Darknd. Timeless Fairytale’s style is the result of a tasty combination of neoclassical/power metal, symphonic metal and classic rock. This band can be considered a “dream come true” for all fans of catchy and elegant vocal melodies, classically influenced instrumental parts and majestic/bombastic arrangements.
