Okay, so last night I was at the SABATON / AMARANTHE gig at Hindley Street Music Hall. I have 2 words to describe it. IN SANE. AMARANTHE got the night off to a rocking start with their power packed set. It’s hard not to get pumped with the energy on display. It was their second visit here in just over a year, so we were indeed fortunate. The good thing about just having 2 bands was we got a full hour out of AMARANTHE, long enough to give us a good showcase of their material. Next up was Swedish monsters, SABATON, on their first visit to Adelaide. They were visibly moved by the response that they received. The crowd went nuts from start to finish. Sometimes you can say that the band has the crowd in the palm of their hand but maybe this time it was the other way around. What a great set, highlights were ‘Christmas Truce’ and ‘Cliffs Of Gallipoli’. I dare say that SABATON will grace our city again. I look forward to it. I was graciously allowed photo access and my best efforts are shown below. Enjoy.
