Connecticut band, FIRES IN THE DISTANCE, have released an absolute cracker of an album. I’ve known about it for a while and interviewed the band a little while back, and I’m very excited that it’s been released, so that you can listen and share my enthusiasm. They are listed as Melodic Death, but I feel that it too tight a desciption for them. The songs are epic, the emotions vast and real and the album is one to listen to in it’s entirety, preferably while sitting in a darkened room with a good set of headphones on.
